Versatile Link (V-pin) 400/430 µm Cable Assemblies
Industrial Fiber Optics manufactures several product lines of premium quality fiber optic cable assemblies with the Versatile Link. Versatile Link and V-pin are all names given to the proprietary fiber optic connector originally developed by HP, which is now owned by Broadcom. These patch cords are suitable for any networking or factory automation application. The product lines below are made with OFS fiber cable 400/430 µm glass-core fiber and terminated with Versatile Link fiber optic connectors. These Versatile Link connections are Lightera crimp and cleave, eliminating the fiber core "pistoning" problem common with this type of fiber and other connectors. For maximum retention strength, epoxy is used to bond the core/cladding and jacket to the connector. Measured insertion loss data for each cable can be provided with special request, as well as custom cable lengths.
