These particular cords are fiber cables terminated with proprietary Versatile Link connectors. The optical fiber cable consists of a 400 µm glass core, 430 µm cladding, 730 µm buffer layer, protected with a 2.2 mm polyvinyl chloride jacket. These cables are often used as a complement to 1 mm plastic core fiber for applications requiring operating distances of 50 to 200 meters.
