ST POF Connectors ST POF Connectors
Industrial Fiber Optics has completed the expansion of its ST connector line for plastic optical fiber. Our new items, in addition to being more economical than those in our previous line, are RoHS-compliant and designed for standard plastic optical cable with a 1.0 mm optical fiber and 2.2 mm jacket. They—re not simply revisions of connectors designed for glass fiber terminations that have been converted to work with plastic optical fiber cable. They—re simpler to install than glass conversions and can be used with or without epoxy. Assembly steps are simpler, shorter and faster. Multiple options are available on lengths and colors of strain reliefs, metal and polymer retention nuts. We can further customize these connectors, on request, with modifications such as fabricating them with no ferromagnetic materials.
Flexible Light Pipes Flexible Light Pipes
The flexible light pipe product line now available from Industrial Fiber Optics offers many creative ways to transport light from LEDs and other light sources to provide illumination in remote locations”¦and to illuminate product and decorative displays. Light pipes have been available for many years in a rigid design format, and the design is cheap. Its drawbacks are that it suffers unacceptable amounts of light loss, and users are limited to the shape and length of pipe they have on hand. The only way around that is to pay engineering and tooling costs to modify the configuration of that rigid design. Flexible light pipes, on the other hand, have superior light transmission characteristics and their —building block”¯ capability makes them adaptable to a wide variety of applications. Industrial Fiber Optics— flexible pipes can be mixed and matched to meet your specific design needs. No added engineering costs. No extra tooling costs. And our product line, which includes pipes, mounts and lens caps, is compatible with industry-standard LED packages.
Sandbox Holography Kit Sandbox Holography Kit
The Sandbox Holography Kit is the perfect way to introduce your students to the fascinating field of holography, then demonstrate many different aspects of how holograms are photographed and how they can be used. The kit includes instructions and all of the optical elements required to shoot a wide variety of different types of holographic setups. Starting out with simple Direct Beam Reflection and Transmission Holograms, the manual proceeds to instructions for shooting 360° Cylindrical Holograms and Multiple Beam Reflection and Transmission Holograms. The vast information storage capacity of Multiple Channel Holograms and the precise measurement capabilities of Holographic Interferometry are discussed along the way. As compared to the numerous —simple”¯ holography kits on the market today, the 12 different holograph setups detailed in Sandbox Holography offer a far more comprehensive treatment of holographic techniques and uses.
DPSS Laser DPSS Laser
Industrial Fiber Optics has created a unique laser for the educational market. The ML 825 is a small-form factor, solid state green laser. It uses cutting edge technology housed in a durable metal package that—s standard in the ML 800 product line. The laser's bright green emission wavelength is achieved with an eye-safe CDRH Class II rating. The enclosure measuring 18.1 x 3.3 x 4.7 cm also contains rechargeable batteries. It's among the smallest combined laser-power-supply packages on the market.
He-Ne Laser Kit He-Ne Laser Kit
Industrial Fiber Optics invites you to build your own helium-neon laser. In this kit, you'll find all the components you need, including schematics and step-by-step assembly instructions to assemble a full-size helium neon laser. It can be assembled in just three to five hours. When completed, this laser will have the same electrical and optical specifications as the ML 800 laser. Assembly of the laser also provides the satisfaction of building a laser from the ground up, and a better understanding of the inner workings of a helium neon laser. An ideal project for student laboratory use, classroom demonstrations, laser shows and science projects.
